ACTA organized State-level webinar on domestic violence

GUWAHATI: The Hojai Dima Hasao Karbi Anglong Zone of Assam College Teachers' Association (ACTA) organized a state-level webinar on domestic violence in society in the present day context on October 18.

The webinar was inaugurated by the President of the ACTA Zone, AnjanDey, Associate Professor of Physics at Lumding College. The welcome speech was offered by Dr Anil Kumar Saikia, secretary of the Zone

The session was graced by the Resource Person Dr Deepshikha Carpenter , Assistant Professor, Department of Social Work, MahapurushaSrimantaSankaradevViswavidyalaya. She covered various aspects of the said Topic and talked about both violence against men and women in society. Her thought-provoking speech kept the audience spell-bound! The interaction session was also quite lively and informative and the participants showed active involvement in it! A good number of students from across the State and the Country attended the Webinar! The Programme was anchored and conducted by Dr Anil Kumar Saikia, Secretary, HojaiDimaHasaoKarbiAnglong Zone and DrAnuradhaChaudhuri, former Convenor, HojaiDimaHasaoKarbiAnglong Zone and current member. The vote of thanks was delivered by DrSahabUddin, former Secretary and current member of the zone.
