Advocate & Assam Agitation Activist Lakhi Nandan Borkotoky Passes Away

TINSUKIA: Lakhi Nandan Borkotoky, a leading advocate of Tinsukia Bar and a resident of Bordoloi Nagar, Tinsukia passed away due to prolonged illness in a hospital at Bangalore on Friday. He was a firebrand activist of the Assam Agitation and later associated himself with the AGP.

Lakhi Nandan Borkotoky was general secretary of Tinsukia Bar Association for three terms and president for two terms. His mortal remains were brought to Tinsukia on Saturday and last rites were performed in presence of a good number of his colleagues and well-wishers. The Tinsukia Bar Association along with various organizations, while paying tributes, expressed condolences to the bereaved family. He leaves behind his wife, a son, a daughter and grandchildren.
