
Tinsukia: The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) conducted a crucial organisational review meeting in Tinsukia district, following similar exercises in Sivasagar, Charaideo, and Dibrugarh. The gathering aimed to evaluate the party’s current standing and reinforce preparations for the upcoming Autonomous Council and Assam Legislative Assembly elections.
Held at the AGP district office in Tinsukia, the meeting brought together senior party leaders and committed workers who discussed strategies to strengthen the party’s grassroots presence. Emphasis was laid on boosting local-level activities and expanding public outreach to consolidate the party’s foundation across villages and blocks.
Leaders urged members to intensify efforts on the ground and ensure timely, coordinated preparations for the elections. The session also focused on mobilising support and enhancing coordination between different levels of the organisation.
Prominent leaders present included Pradip Hazarika, Ponkan Boruah, Nurul Sultan, Sunil Rajkonwar, Putul Sonowal, Jyotimoni Moran, Paragjyoti Boruah, Diganta Saikia, Bimal Boruah, Swapan Majumdar, Ashok Sarma, Deepak Boruah, and Sanjeev Bora.
The meeting also saw participation from Assam Tea Board central committee president Pramod Bhengra, Tinsukia district secretary, constituency-level office bearers, Dibrugarh district president Aditya Goswami, and AASU central committee president Trinayan Boruah. Representatives from AGP’s sister organisations and newly elected panchayat members also attended.
The AGP leadership reiterated its commitment to strengthening organisational unity and enhancing grassroots engagement as part of its broader electoral strategy.
