AGP suspends all meetings for three days as a mark of respect

Guwahati: Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) has suspended all-party meetings for three days –November 24 to November 26- as a mark of respect to the three-time CM of Assam who passed away on Monday.

AGP General secretary, Manoj Saikia, said that the party's meetings and works will be kept on hold for three days for the death of the former CM Tarun Gogoi, as per instruction of the party president Atul Bora.

The veteran politician who breathed his last on Monday evening will be cremated on Thursday with full state honours.

Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal also declared three-day mourning in the state along with UPPL keeping all their works on hold too.

The third tallest Indian flag of the country in Gandhi Mandap was also seen to be flying half-mast according to protocols.
