Agriculture Information Centre opened in Darrang district

DARRANG: The Students of Rural Agricultural Work Experience Programme (RAWEP) of Assam Agricultural University, Jorhat has set up an Agricultural Information Centre (AIC) in Darrang district.

The centre has been set up in the premise of Ek no. Majgaon LP school at Dakchuki village under the guidance of Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Darrang. In this connection an inauguration programme was organized parallely where Dr A. Hafiz, Sr scientist and head KVK Darrang, Mayukh Goswami Sr journalist cum social worker, Kulen Deka, Principal Of 1. No. Mazgaon LP school attended as the chief guest.

They also congratulated the students of Assam Agriculture University for their creative activities and creative models. The programme is guided by Programme Supervisor M K Chauhan, senior scientist and head, KVK Darrang who explained the objective of the AIC and its importance, stated a press release.
