Ahom Sena Protests Price Hike and Burnt Effigies

JOYSAGAR: The Ahom Sena, Asom, Sivasagar District Committee staged a protest on Thursday in Dolmukh Chariali and also burnt the effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah and Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal. The leaders of the organization slammed the BJP-led Union Government as well as the Assam Government for its anti-people activities. Ahom Sena opposed the unnatural price hike of the various petro-products, LPG and other essential commodities. Besides, the leaders also accused the Union Government of planning to pass the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 in order to provide asylum to Bangladeshi nationals.
