AHSEC releases excluded Pol Science Topics

Following Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) decision of reducing the syllabus for the HS final year students for the 2020-2021 academic year by 30% due to ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the board has published the topics which have been dropped from the Political Science paper.

Notably, the topics that were dropped from the syllabus include, inter-alia, India and the Cold War, Dominance and challenge to the US in economy ideology, Conflicts and efforts for peace in South Asia and Politics of disarmament.

As per reports, the board informed from the 'Politics in India Since Independence' section, First three general elections, Nehru's approach to nation-building, Nehru's foreign policy, Punjab crisis and the anti-Sikh riots of 1984 and Ayodhya dispute, Gujarat riots have been left out this year, among others.
