AIDSO, AIDYO observe Atma Bolidan Divas in Lakhimpur

LAKHIMPUR: The Lakhimpur District Committees of All India Democratic Students' Organization (AIDSO), All India Democratic Youths' Organization (AIDYO) and their teenager wing observed the death anniversary (September 20) of martyr Kanaklata Baruah as Atma Bolidan Divas with two day-long programmes on Sunday and Monday.

The programmes started with an online cultural event on Sunday evening. The programme was inaugurated by Dr. Bonti Howborah, the retired professor of Lakhimpur Girls' College-cum-working president of Akash Upa Samiti of Axam Xahitya Xabha. Poet Kalyani Chakraborty recited the Asomiya Dekar Ukti, the poem composed by Rupkonwar Jyoti Prashad Agarwala. On the other hand, various artistes from different parts of Lakhimpur presented Jyoti Sangeet, Bishnu Rabha Sangeet, Bhupendra Sangeet, dance items on patriotic songs in the cultural event. On Monday, the activists of the organizations organized Shradhanjali programme near the Deputy Commissioner's office and distributed badge containing the picture of the martyr among the public.
