Tezpur: Air Commodore Tejpal Singh took over the command of Air Force Station Tezpur from Air Commodore MK Gupta on Monday. Air Commodore Tejpal Singh is a fighter pilot commissioned in June 1990 and has more than 3800 flying hours to his credit. He is a qualified flying instructor, a test pilot and has flown many front line fighter jets. He is an alumnus of National Defence Academy and Defence Service Staff College. The Air Officer has flown MiG-21, MiG-29, Jaguar and front line fighter SU-30 MKI.
During his career, he has held many significant field and staff appointment at Air Headquarters and Operational Commands. In recognition of his meritorious service, the Air Officer has been awarded the Vayu Sena Medal and commanded by Chief of Air Staff and Air Officer Commanding in Chief.
