TEZPUR: Air Marshal DK Patnaik, Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command along with Anuradha Patnaik, president of Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Regional), Eastern Air Command visited Jorhat Air Force Station, a premier transport airbase in Assam on December 28 and 29. They were received by Air Commodore MK Jha, Air Officer Commanding, Jorhat Air Force Station and Prarthana Jha, president of Air Force Wives Welfare Association (Local).
During his tour of the station, the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief was briefed about the operational, maintenance and administrative preparedness of the station along with other ongoing infrastructure development works in the station. While interacting with the station personnel, he acknowledged the diligence and dedication of the personnel towards safeguarding the Indian air space and the air maintenance operations in difficult terrain of Northeastern regions. He exhorted all personnel to remain physically fit and mentally agile to undertake all tasks in service to the nation. The interaction was conducted while adhering to the COVID protocols as laid down by the Government of India.
