Airports Authority of India (AAI) provides fund to procure protective materials

Dibrugarh: The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has been consistently devoting resources towards CSR endeavours at various stations in the north-eastern region under the leadership of its Regional Executive Director, Sanjeev Jindal. The Corporate Social Responsibility programmes are focused to connect underprivileged families with the privileged one and AAI is continuously working in this effort apart from developing aviation infrastructure in the north-eastern region.
Supporting the Dibrugarh district administration in the fight against COVID-19, Airports Authority of India, Dibrugarh on Saturday provided funds amounting to Rs. 8 lakh under CSR scheme to procure various materials for combating novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The district administration Dibrugarh along with Police and Health Department have prepared comprehensive plan to combat possible cases of corona virus in the district and since a large number of police personnel are also engaged in COVID-19 duty, hence to prevent spread of the epidemic among the police personnel, funds provided by Airports Authority of India Dibrugarh under CSR scheme will be utilized to procure protective materials, AAI, Dibrugarh Airport, the press release added. Airports Authority of India had earlier provided two toilet blocks in the neighbouring Kanai Gram Panchayat and Ikaratoli Gram Panchayat, provided two TATA Ace vehicles and two Mahindra Tractors to Dibrugarh Municipal Board for garbage collection and also provided toilet blocks in five government schools.
