AJYCP stages protest against fuel price hike in Naharkatia

NAHARKATIA: Naharkatia regional unit of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) on Saturday burned the effigies of Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri and Union Minister of State of Petroleum and Natural Gas Rameswar Teli near the Railway Gate of Naharkatia in protest against rise in prices of petrol, diesel and LPG. The protesting members of the organization held the protest as a part of the series of stirs appealed by the ibrugarh District unit of AJYCP.
"The central government has failed totally to check the high rise in prices of petrol, diesel and LPG as a result of which the uncontrollable inflation has made an adverse impact on the rise in prices of essential commodities," AJYCP Naharkatia regional unit president Gauranga Gogoi said while leading the protest.
