AJYCP Tinsukia District Committee rally protests against CAA

DOOMDOOMA: Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba-Chatra Parishad (AJYCP), Tinsukia District Committee on Thursday took out a motorbike rally with active support of its Anchalik committees to lodge its protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 and in support of its demand for introduction of Inner Line Permit (ILP) in Assam.

Kakapather Anchalik Committee, after taking out its rally at Kakapather, came to Phillobari to jointly lodge protest with Phillobari Anchalik Committee and from there they came to Doomdooma and assembled at Doomdooma town field. On the other hand, Makum AJYCP Anchalik Committee came to Doomdooma and together with Doomdooma Anchalik Committee the rally went around Doomdooma town to lodge their protest. Along with AJYCP Tinsukia District vice-president Sonmoni Chaliha, other office bearers of the district as well as the office bearers of its four Anchalik Committees were present in the programme.

While taking out the rally they shouted slogans against C(A)A and raised demands for ILP, besides renewing their strong opposition that under no circumstances C(A)A would be allowed to be implemented in Assam as it was a threat to the existence of Assamese language and culture.
