Akansha Haat: A celebration of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and Entrepreneurship

MANGALDAI: The district administration of Darrang, in collaboration with NITI Aayog, amidst a festive atmosphere despite the scorching Sun, inaugurated the Akansha Haat event on Wednesday at Mangaldai Mahila Bazar. Legislators Basanta Das and Dr Paramananda Rajbongshi, former Legislator Gurujyoti Das, State BJP’s Women Wing President Nilima Devi, Pratap Bordoloi, along with District Commissioner of Darrang Parag Kumar Kakaty  and other prominent dignitaries took part in the inaugural function. The Akansha Haat, a platform showcasing the products and talents of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), will run from July 30 to August 3. A total of 25 SHGs from Darrang district are participating in the exhibition, highlighting their entrepreneurial spirit and creativity.
