All Assam Students' Union AGS Monuwar Hussain resigns

GOLAGHAT: The assistant general secretary (AGS) of the All Assam Students' Union (AASU) Monuwar Hussain resigned from the organization on Monday by submitting his resignation letter to the president and secretary.

The resignation of the senior AASU leader ahead of the central convention to be held at Duliajn has led to speculation. Monuwar Hussain raised various allegations against the president and secretary of the organization which were clearly stated in the resignation letter. He alleged that president Dipankar Nath and secretary Lurinjyoti Gogoi were running a self-styled mafia raj since the year 2015. They had used the AASU activists for their political benefits.
