All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) & BBCA donate to Arogya Nidhi to combat COVID-19

Kokrajhar: The All Bodo Students’ Union (ABSU) has donated Rs 1.52 lakh to the Assam Arogya Nidhi to combat the spread of coronavirus in Assam.

The president of the ABSU, Dipen Boro expressed gratitude to the Central Government and the State Government for the steps taken to prevent spread of coronavirus in the country. He also called upon all to obey the lockdown guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The students’ union also urged the State Government to allow the union to distribute relief to the needy people.

On the other hand, the Boro Baptist Church Association (BBCA), Tukrajhar also donated Rs. 1 lakh to Assam Arogya Nidhi and the cheque was handed over to the Chirang Deputy Commissioner on Saturday. The general secretary of the BBCA, Prasenjit Basumatary handed over the cheque to the DC.
