All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU) begins free teaching camps in 1,000 LP schools

KOKRAJHAR: The All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU) began a free education camp for the students of 1000 LP schools across the State looking for enhancing the skill and quality education of Bodo medium, a major initiative of the premier student body of the northeast from Friday.

Attending the programme, the general secretary of ABSU Khanindra Basumatary said, "Mission Skill and Quality Education 2021-2025 is the initiative of the All Bodo Students' Union targeting the students from LP to PG for the achievement of Skill and Quality Education with the Bodo medium education. He said with this mission the free teaching camp at the 1000 primary schools across the State got under way from Friday in Kokrajhar district.

He said this mission was kicked started from 356 Nadanguri LP School, at Salakati in Kokrajhar and the inaugural programme of ABSU started with the opening of the free teaching camp by cutting the ribbon by Dipen Boro, president, ABSU followed by plantation started by Kwrwmdao Wary, vice president of the union and open discussion with the guardians, parents and local people was also held.

The LP School from where the programme started has presently only single teacher with the strength of 72 students in the school and one helper inducted by SMC at the school as a teacher, hence from today ABSU has volunteered another person to assist the single teacher in the teaching and learning process at the school and she is Sonali Basumatary, a graduate from the village.

In the open discussion the president of ABSU enlightened the objective of the programme with the initiative to realize the quality education for the children from the Lower Primary standard. ABSU has the target to encourage for quality and scientific society for the future ensuring zero drop out at all stages of learning by the students.

ABSU had made aware all the guardians to take good care of children and make them love their learning. This activity of rendering free teaching programme by ABSU will ensure that all the Bodo students achieve skill and quality education for the establishment of a cultured society.
