All Bodo Students' Union mourns demise of renowned lyricist Sisir Kumar Sunni

KOKRAJHAR: The All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU) on Saturday mourned the demise of renowned lyricist, singer, composer and strong worker of Bodo culture, Sisir Kumar Sunni of Bengbari, Baksa. In a message, the president of the ABSU, Dipen Boro and general secretary Khanindra Basumatary said that Sisir Kumar Sunni was a genius Bodo music composer and lyricist and he was associated with Bodo cultural organizations. He dedicated his life for the uplift of Bodo music in scientific form. He received cultural pension from the Government of Assam and Jwhwlao Nileswar Brahma Cultural Award from BTC.
