All Dimasa Students' Union, DSU, DMA to stage a sit-in & hunger strike on June 2

HAFLONG: The All Dimasa Students' Union (ADSU), Dimasa Students' Union (DSU) and Dimasa Mothers' Association (DMA) have decided to stage sit-in and hunger strike on June 2, in front of the office of the Deputy Commissioner of Dima Hasao to demand immediate arrest of DSP Surya Kanta Morang, allegedly involved in the kidnapping and murder of Santosh Hojai, said Uttam Langthasa, president of ADSU Dima Hasao District Committee, Haflong, on Saturday.

Langthasa, while appreciating the Dima Hasao district police administration headed by Superintendent of Police Jayant Singh for taking necessary action and suspending the former Officer in-charge of Harangajao Police Station and current O/C of Maibang Police Station, Angshu Rajkumar for not receiving the FIR lodged by Jayanta Hojai on time, said that the ADSU Dima Hasao District Committee, DSU and DMA would stage sit-in with hunger strike on June 2 to demand immediate arrest of DSP Surya Kanta Morang.

The All Dimasa Students' Union (ADSU) Dima Hasao District Committee, Dimasa Students' Union (DSU) and Dimasa Mothers' Association (DMA) have appealed to the people of Dima Hasao to extend their support to the agitation programme.
