All Rabha Students’ Union Protest against Junmoni Rabha’s mysterious death

KALAIGAON: A two hour long sit-in demonstration was carried out by Udalguri District Committee of All Rabha Students’ Union (ARSU). The protest programme was also joined by Kalaigaon ARSU on Tuesday in front of Kalaigaon Inspection Bunglow demanding justice for police officer Junmoni Rabha.

The demonstration was attended by activists of ARKR, ARNC, ARWC and RGM of BTR. The organizations shouted slogans against Assam Police for their failure to arrest Nagaon SP Leena Doley who was allegedly involved in this incident of Junmoni Rabha. Later, the organizations submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister of Assam through the Circle Officer of Kalaigaon Revenue Circle to arrest the main culprits. All the activists of Rabha organizations paid their rich tributes to the deceased officer during their protest.
