The department has also started door-to-door inspection to ascertain the number and whereabouts of people who have not yet taken Covid-19 vaccines.

Keshab Mahanta, the Health Minister of Assam said, "If the people of Guwahati do not adhere to the Covid-19 protocol strictly, a doomsday scenario is inevitable in the metropolitan city. We have set the target of August 31 to vaccinate all eligible people in the Kamrup (M) district."
