Allegation of irregularity in ABPTA committee formation

UDALGURI: Ransaigra Basumatari, the former secretary of All Bodo Primary Teachers' Association, Assam has alleged that irregularity was meted out on the formation of a new committee during the 33rd conference held at Dotoma Thulungapuri in Kokrajhar on January 11 and 12.

The 16 district committees took part in this session out of 22 district committees in Assam. The committee has decided earlier to keep only one portfolio in a district and to ensure a woman member in the committee. But Kamini Basumatari was selected as vice president and again Thaneswar Brahma Daimari was selected as general secretary from Chirang district, he said.
