Ambubachi Mela: Meeting held to discuss food distribution to devotees

GUWAHATI: A meeting was organized at the premises of the Kamrup (metro) Deputy Commissioner’s office on Monday to discuss the steps taken for the proper distribution of food materials to the devotees who will come for the Ambubachi Mela. Additional Deputy Commissioner Dhrubajyoti Hazarika chaired the meeting wherein Additional Deputy Commissioner Bikram Chetri was also present along with officials from other departments, including the civil supplies and medical departments.

The duties regarding the distribution of food were divided among the non-governmental organizations by the district administration in this meeting. The officials urged them to maintain the highest standards of quality in the food supplied to the devotees and to take care of cleanliness and proper hygiene.
