Anchalik Students’ Union seeks action against drug peddlers

JAGIROAD: A memorandum signed by Jagiroad Anchalik Students’ Union president and secretary Harsha Jyoti Deka and Partha Goswami respectively, was submitted to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) on Tuesday demanding immediate action against alleged drug peddling activities at Jagiroad.
The memorandum was submitted through the Circle Officer (CO), Mayong revenue circle. It stated that recently few students had fallen victim to suspected drug peddlers at Jagiroad which has caused severe resentment among the people. The students’ union urged the district administration to trace the culprits and take suitable action.
