Animal health camp organized in North Hailakandi

HAILAKANDI: An animal health camp was held at Kalinagar under Algapur revenue circle in North Hailakandi. The animal health camp was jointly organized by the District Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department and North Hailakandi Lowland United PPAS on Thursday. Over 1,000 animals, including cows, calf, buffaloes, goats, ducks and chicken were screened and treated at the health camp. Medicines were also distributed free of cost. An awareness program on preventive measures for keeping domestic animals free from diseases was also conducted. District Veterinary Officer, RA Laskar interacted with the owners of the animals and also provided them tips on livestock health. Veterinary Field Officer, Mohiuddin Barbhuiya, Area Inspector, Swapon Rai and president, North Hailakandi Lowland United PPAS, SM Alauddin were among those who were present.
