Ankiya Bhaona Kellygopal to be performed in English in Dubai by socio-cultural organization

Biswanath Chariali: After the successful performance of the bhaonas Udyog Parva and Ravan Bodh in English outside Assam, now Ankiya Bhaona Kellygopal will be performed in Dubai in English under the banner of Prajanmya Unmesh, a leading socio-cultural organization of Assam.

Director of the bhaona, Arup Saikia said, “Our mission is to establish that bhaona is a unique example of the rich cultural treasure of medieval India. We also want to perform in wider acceptability across the globe.”

Joint coordinators Girimallika Saikia and Sandhya Gitimallika said that the bhaona would be performed in Dubai on October 4. Recipient of Padma Shri and Dubai-based industrialist, chairman of BRS Venture and NMC Healthcare, Dr BR Shetty will inaugurate the event.
