Annesha Borah from Tinsukia secures 4th position in HSLC Examination, 2022

DOOMDOOMA: Annesha Borah of Don Bosco Senior Secondary School, Doomdooma brought glory to Doomdooma as well as to the entire Tinsukia district by securing the fourth position in the HSLC Examination, 2022.

Annesha Borah, daughter of Chittaranjan Borah, a businessman and Bharoti Borah, a home-maker of Barhapjan Milanbon secured 594 marks out of 600 with letter marks in all subjects. She obtained 100% marks in Mathematics, Advanced Mathematics, General Science and Social Science and scored 98 in English and 96 in Assamese (MIL).

When contacted, Annesha told The Sentinel that she had studied 8 to 10 hours daily, and her aim was to become a doctor in future. She ascribed her success to her parents and the teachers of her school.

The overall pass percentage of the Tinsukia district is 46.09. Out of the total 14,702 candidates that appeared in the HSLC Examination, this year in Tinsukia district, 6,776 candidates came out successful. Of them, 1,933 candidates secured first division, 2,930 candidates secured second division and 1,913 candidates secured third division. Labour Minister Sanjay Kishan congratulated Annesha over telephone for her success.
