Annual function & prize distribution ceremony held in KV New Bongaigaon

Bongaigaon: Annual function and prize distribution ceremony for the session 2019-20 was held in KV New Bongaigaon on Friday. The chairman of the Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) and Chief Workshop Manager of C & W Workshop, NF Railway, PP Roy was the chief guest for the occasion. The function was inaugurated by lighting of the auspicious lamp by the chief guest and other eminent dignitaries. After the inauguration, the cultural program began with Saraswati Vandana. The primary students of the Vidyalaya performed a welcome dance and a puppet dance which were applauded by the audience. The Principal of the Vidyalaya, Dr. JK Jha addressed the gathering and also presented the annual report of the Vidyalaya.

The cultural program continued with many splendid performances which included a contemporary Bengali dance and Kathak dance showcasing the rich classical heritage of the country and two fusion dance performances showing the diverse cultures of Assam as well as India. The program also included two skits- a Hindi skit highlighting the adverse effect of plastic on human life and an English skit giving the message that humanity is above all.
