PATHSALA: "There is no shortcut to success, only hard work pays," said Dr. Sanjib Kumar Phukon, SDO Sadar, Nalbari, during a meeting at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Nalbari recently.
During the Udbodhan Satra, the four houses of the school presented the march past followed by a series of cultural performances by the students from Nursery to Class III. The students of classes IV and V displayed five scintillating rounds of Samuhik Surya Namaskar as part of the 75 million Surya Namaskar Project celebrating the Azadi Ki Amrit Mahotsav.
The captivating Band Display by the Girls' Band Troupe of the school reminded of the noteworthy performance of the school to bag the first prize in band performance in 2018. Both boys' and girls' band troupes of Vivekanda Kendra Vidyalaya, Nalbari have brought laurels to the school at the State and the zonal level earlier too. Dr. Sanjib Kumar Phukon, SDO Sadar, Nalbari, as the chief guest of the Udbodhan Satra, said, "Education has the responsibility to transmit heritage, tradition and culture. In order to be successful, we must have a dream, an aim in our life, but we must try consistently to achieve what we dream for. We need to give a fresh perspective to the saying 'Jack of all trades, master of none'. Time demands that the children should be the Jack of all trades. There is no shortcut to success, only hard work pays. If we fail, it is the first attempt to succeed."
