Anti-CAA Joint Forum Tinsukia demand to scrap Citizenship (Amendment) Act

TINSUKIA: The Anti-CAA Joint Forum Tinsukia organized a sit-in at Thana Chariali Tinsukia on Wednesday reiterating its demand to scrap the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, better treatment for peasant leader Akhil Gogoi, to stop repression on democratic movement and unconditional release of all anti-CAA jailed activists.

The meeting was addressed by Dr Jyoti Prasad Chaliha, Dr Girish Handique, Dr Apurba Bhaskar Gogoi and other dignitaries. The meeting decided to hold a citizens’ meet at Padmanath Gohain Baruah Bhavan of the Tinsukia branch of AXX on March 22 and a protest programme on March 13 under the aegis of Krishak Mukti Sangram Samity and Chatra Mukti Sangram Samity.
