Anti Terrorism Day observed

GUWAHATI, May 21: Bongaigaon Refinery observed Anti Terrorism Day on Tuesday with due solemnity. The employees of the refinery assembled together and took the anti terrorism pledge to oppose all forms of terrorism and violence. They pledged to promote peace, social harmony and understanding among all fellow human beings.

In the pledge-taking ceremony held on the premises of the Administrative Block, GC Sikder, CGM(I/c), Amarendra Kalita, CGM(TS&HSE), and Kailash Pati, CGM (Project) administered the pledge in english, assamese & hindi respectively. Addressing the gathering, Sikder said that terrorism in any form is not acceptable in our society.

Terrorists work against humanity and have no ethics & value system.

Indian Oil is operating 3 refineries in Northeast and all are having smooth operations & uninterrupted supply of POL products in far flung area of the seven States due to tight security arrangements and co-operation of local administration. He appreciated the security awareness of the BGRians & citizens residing in and around the refinery. The pledge-taking was also conducted in various departments of the refinery, a press release stated.
