APDCL Employee Electrocuted While Repairing Transformer In Kaziranga

Guwahati: An employee in the Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) died on Wednesday while he was repairing the transformer in the Geleki area of Kaziranga as he was electrocuted.

The deceased identified as Pranabjyoti Baruah had been working with APDCL for the last four years.

The incident occurred when Baruah was deployed to rectify the transfer in the Geleki Chariali area following continuous power shortage.

However, according to the APDCL, Baruah didn't inform the control room while working on a transformer in Geleki Chariali, hence, he collapsed.

After the incident, locals blamed the power department for the death of the employee.
