APSC Combined Competitive Examination application process to begin from Sep 10

Guwahati: Amid the ongoing pandemic, the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) on Tuesday issued a notification for the preliminary examinations of the Combined Competitive Examination (CCE), 2020 for screening candidates to sit for the main examinations.

Through the exams, the APSC shall recruit for Assam Civil Service (junior grade), Assam Police Service (junior grade), Superintendent of Taxes, District Transport Officer, Assistant Manager of Industries, Block Development Officer, Assistant Employment Officer, Labour Inspector, Inspector of Taxes, Inspector of Excise and Sub Registrar.

"The Online Applications can be filled up from 10-09-2020 to 10-10-2020 till 12:00 Midnight after which the link will be disabled," the Commission stated in its notification.

The examinations will be held in accordance with the Assam Public Services Combined Competitive Examination (Amendment) Rules, 2019. The questions will be of objective type with multiple choices.

Interested candidates have been asked to apply through the website— https://apscrecruitment.in.

The centres for the Combined Competitive (Preliminary) examination are: Barpeta, Bongaigaon, Biswanath Chariali, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Dibrugarh, Diphu, Goalpara, Golaghat, Guwahati, Haflong, Hamren, Hatsingimari, Hojai, Jorhat, Kajalgaon, Karimganj, Kokrajhar, Majuli, Mangaldoi, Morigaon, Mushalpur, Nagaon, Nalbari, North Lakhimpur, Silchar, Sivsagar, Sonari, Tezpur, Tinsukia, and Udalguri.

The APSC Mains examination, however, shall only be held in Guwahati, the capital city of the state.

As per the notification, the APSC has decided to launch its Online Recruitment portal with the help of CSC-SPV, a MeitY approved organization, which will charge a processing fee of Rs. 30.00/- + 18% tax = Rs.35.40 from each candidate who wishes to apply.
