APWWA organizes cancer awareness camp at Goalpara
The Assam Police Wives’ Welfare Association (APWWA), in collaboration with the B Barooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati on Thursday organized a cancer awareness camp at Goalpara town.

GOALPARA: The Assam Police Wives' Welfare Association (APWWA), in collaboration with the B Barooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati on Thursday organized a cancer awareness camp at Goalpara town.
The programme was arranged at the Police Reserve camp and was graced and inaugurated by Swapnali Mahanta, president of the forum in presence of Dilip Kumar Dey, Deputy IGP, Western Assam range, V. V. Rakesh Reddy, SP.
The programme was aimed to bring special awareness about the alarmingly increasing breast and uterus cancer among all section of women and ways and means of preventing the disease.
Hundreds of wives of the police officials, women police participated and received free check-ups in this regard at the venue. The doctor team from the B Barooah cancer institute provided apt service and received full praise by the participants.
