Archaeologist Dr Robin Deb Chaudhary lecture delivered

NAGAON: Kolong Kola Kendra, Nagaon, a leading organization on art crafts and sculpture of the district observed its 21st foundation day on Saturday. On the occasion, the institution also organised a special lecture in memory of noted archaeologist of State Dr Robin Deb Chaudhary. Dr Nripen Chandra Das, principal of Puranigudam Dr Birinchi Boruah College, initiated the programme by lighting the ceremonial lamp at the portrait of Dr Deb Chaudhary.

The programme was chaired by Gakul Chetry, president of the institution. Noted scholar of Sankari culture and tradition, Dr Naren Kalita graced the occasion as keynote speaker. Dr Kalita spoke on life and activities as well as his contribution towards the field of the State archaeology.

During the session, Dr Kalita ceremonially released a database historical book - 'Sri Sri Laiati Satra Sangkhipta Etibrita' (vol ii) compiled by Lilakanta Deb Goswami. Folklore Golap Bora, Krishna Goswami, noted Assamese litterateur Fanindra Nath Gayan were present at the programme.
