Army Conducts Cleanliness Drive in Kokrajhar town

Kokrajhar: In line with the Swachh Bharat Mission and to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, a unit of Red Horns Division of the army conducted a cleanliness awareness-cum-cycle rally in Kokrajhar town.

The event began with a talk on importance of cleanliness, cleanliness-oath taking ceremony followed by an 8-km cycle rally throughout the town. The event was attended by around 350 students from various schools and teachers of the town. Deputy Commissioner Partha Pratim Mazumder along with several officials of the district administration participated in the campaign. The aim of the rally was to target the young minds and to make them aware about cleanliness.
