Army organizes science exhibition on National Science Day in Kokrajhar

Kokrajhar: On the occasion of National Science Day, a unit of Red Horns Division of the army organized a science exhibition-cum-fair on Saturday at Kokrajhar Planetarium and Science Centre. The event was inaugurated by RS Borgoyari, Director of Education, BTC, followed by a cultural program.

Demonstration on ‘Science behind miracle’ and presentation on ‘Women in Science’ was given by Aryabhatta Science Centre to develop scientific attitude and innovative thinking amongst the students. The exhibition was attended by Sakarmoni Brahma, coordinator of Aryabhatta Science Centre, JP Brahma, Inspector of Schools, Kokrajhar and Anima Narzary, Principle, DIET, Kokrajhar.

Around 225 students of 23 schools participated in the event. A total of 23 models were displayed which were assessed and evaluated by a jury comprising of professors and teachers of the fields concerned. Reality Public School bagged the first prize and UN Academy along with the Reality Public School were 1st and 2nd runners-up. The winners were awarded trophies, certificates of excellence and prizes by the Director of Education.
