Arrested doctor trio remanded to judicial custody in Mangaldai District Jail

MANGALDAI: The CID probing the sensational rape and murder of the minor domestic maid at Dhula in the Darrang district, on Wednesday produced the three arrested doctors before the court of District and Sessions Judge, Darrang, who remanded the arrested doctors to judicial custody in Mangaldai District Jail for a period of 14 days.
The CID earlier on November 7 had arrested the three doctors of Mangaldai Civil Hospital, namely Dr Ajanta Bordoloi, Dr Arun Chandra Deka and Dr Anupam Sarma in connection with Dhula Police Station Case Number 114/2022 under section 376/302 of Indian Penal Code read with section 10 of POCSO Act read with section 14 of Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act of 1986 added with section 120(B)/218/201 of Indian Penal Code, and taken them to CID Headquarters in Guwahati for interrogation.
