DHUBRI: The All Assam Development Authority Employees’ Joint Council (AADAEJC), in its 9th State convention held in Dhubri, resolved to go for agitation if their demands, including payment of salaries of nearly 300 employees, were not fulfilled immediately. This was informed by the president of AADAEJC, Banikanta Baruah at a press meet held at the conference hall of the Dhubri Circuit House on Saturday. Addressing the media persons flanked by the outgoing secretary of AADAEJC, Ratul Bora and chief advisor, Swapan Bhattacharyya, Barua expressed deep resentment over the government’s dilly-dallying policy to look into their demands, including payments salaries of employees for over 10 to 40 months. “Most of the offices of the development authority in Assam are on the verge of closure due to non-payment of salary to employees,” Barua said.
