'Asom Bachao Ahak' campaign of Congress launched in Dhakuakhana

LAKHIMPUR: "Congress is the oldest political party of the nation. The party is deep rooted, it cannot be destroyed," stated Pradyut Bordoloi, the former minister of the Congress-led State Government and present Nagaon MP, while taking part in a public rally organized on Friday in Dhakuakhana town as part of Asom Bachao Ahak campaign of the Congress.

The rally was organized under the auspices of Dhakuakhana Block Congress Committee. Hitting at the ruling party, Bordoloi further added that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) could not attain the majority in the upcoming assembly election and the ruling party would lose the fray against the Congress-led grand alliance.

The rally was held under the management of Dhakuakhana Block Congress Committee president Tarun Cheitia, wherein Rajya Sabha MP Rani Narah, Dhakuakhana LAC ticket aspirant Dr. Rajen Pegu along with a host of State-level and district-level political leaders of the party. They criticized the governments at the Centre and in the State with strong terms regarding various issues.
