SARUPATHAR: As the upcoming assembly election 2021 approaches, the political temperatures in Assam are gradually rising. The Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), Sarupathar unit organized the National Unity Ceremony in Sarupathar general field under Dhansiri subdivision in Golaghat district on Monday.

State Agriculture Minister and AGP president Atul Bora, while addressing the meeting, said that the party would win the 94-Sarupathar constituency seat. On the other hand, the activists of All Assam Students' Union (AASU) Sarupathar-Barpathar regional unit showed black flags to both Atul Bora and State Water Resources Minister Keshab Mahanta while they were going to attend the National Unity Ceremony at Sarupathar.

Paramananda Rajbongshi, former president of Axam Xahitya Xabha, Kalpana Patuwari and former MLA of 94-Sarupathar constituency, BinodGowala, and other dignitaries were present in the meeting at Sarupathar.
