Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad observes Bihu Songhoti Sankalpa event in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: The Tinsukia district committee of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuba Parishad (AJYP) observed Bihu Songhoti – Sankalpa programme at Golap Chandra Rabi Chandra Natya Mandir, Tinsukia on Saturday in the presence of noted intellectuals, writers and journalists.

The felicitation programme chaired by Photik Neog, was addressed by Udayan Gogoi, State general secretary of AJYP, academician Abdul Rouf, senior journalists Amalya Khatoniar and Purnananda Baruah, Rishi Das among others. The dignitaries were presented with citations and phulam gamosa. The day-long event included ethnic dances and other cultural programmes.

Earlier, Pranjal Pratim Neog, general secretary of AJYP Tinsukia district committee, welcomed the guests with a brief note about the objective of the meeting.
