Seeking strict action with zero tolerance against illegal trading as well as trafficking of poisonous drugs as well as other narcotic substances across the district

NAGAON: Seeking strict action with zero tolerance against illegal trading as well as trafficking of poisonous drugs as well as other narcotic substances across the district, the Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to Narendra Kr Shah, Deputy Commissioner, Nagaon.
In the memorandum signed by the president and incharge secretary of the district unit Pragjyotish Bonia and Parthapratim Bairagi respectively stated that due to negligence of authorities concerned, a larger section of illegal traders were allegedly involved in selling the poisonous drugs and other narcotic substances across the district which apparently poses a threat to the mental as well as physical health of the young generation. It is alleged by the youth organization that due to illegal trading and trafficking of drugs and other narcotic substances, various families have been devastated. The organization sought a massive move against the ongoing drug menace in the district and also demanded strict police action in this regard.
