Assam: 10-kg hemp seized by Sootea police

Acting on a tip-off, a team of Sootea police managed to apprehend a hemp dealer identified as Bikram Basumatary from Itakhola. The police also recovered 10.21 kg of hemp from his possession on Wednesday.

JAMUGURIHAT: Acting on a tip-off, a team of Sootea police managed to apprehend a hemp dealer identified as Bikram Basumatary from Itakhola. The police also recovered 10.21 kg of hemp from his possession on Wednesday. Basumatary had brought the hemp from Udalguri to sell here, said a police official. Police interrogation is on for further inputs.
