Assam: 2 Darrang employees get Lok Sewa Puraskar in Lok Kalyan Divas

MANGALDAI: Darrang district administration too joined the statewide celebration of ‘Lok Kalyan Divas’ to mark the death anniversary of ‘Bharat Ratna’ Loka Priya Gopinath Bordoloi. In a function organized at the conference hall of DC office, District Commissioner Munindra Nath Ngatey in presence of all the officials and staff of DC office and leading citizens offered floral tribute at the portrait of ‘Bharat Ratna’ Loka Priya Gopi Nath Bordoloi and spoke on the life and the works of this saviour of Assam. At the function, on behalf of the Assam government, District Commissioner Ngatey conferred ‘Loka Sewa Puraskar 2023’, the Chief Minister’s Award for excellence in Public Service on Senior District Administrative Assistant of DC’s office Rantu Deka for his exemplary service. He also conferred the award on a ‘Khalasi’ (Grade IV) of the PHE, Mangaldai Division Dilip Kumar Deka for his exemplary service. The award carries a letter of citation, an amount of Rs 25000.00 and one year extension of their service.
