Assam: 3 Dies Including Minor In Dhemaji Road Mishap, 6 Injured

GUWAHATI: Police informed on Friday that three people lost their lives and six received severe injuries in a road accident on Thursday. The incident took place in Assam’s Dhemaji district, and amongst the deceased ones a minor was also killed in the unfortunate accident.

The matter came forth from Telam Lakhipathar area located near Jonai. According to sources, the accident occurred after a four wheeler came in collision and had hit a motorbike, a scooty and a bicycle.

Police of Dhemaji don’t informed that, the three deceased including a minor succumbed to their injuries inside the hospital premises. The six injured ones were rushed to the nearby hospital for medical attention.

A tragic accident took place in Assam’s Goroimara town on Thursday, where a man died on spot and three other individuals received grievous injuries. The accident occurred as a result of head on collision between two two wheeler motorbikes. The deceased man has been identified as Mizanur Rahman.

As per sources, the incident began when two bikes came in collision with one another at a high speed at Nagarbera area, which is located near Goroimara town. As a result of the collision, the vehicle along with the passengers skidded into a river bank.

One person died on spot and three other people were injured in the happening. The injured ones has been identified as Mahidul Islam, Afzal Haque and Piyar Ali. Local people gathered in the spot and rushed the injured people to Guwahati medical college and hospital (GMCH). As soon as the information was received by local police, a team of cops arrived at the location and recovered the body of the deceased. Later, the body was sent for an autopsy.
