Assam: 3 of Same Family Killed After Train Mows Down Car In Nagaon

Nagaon: In an unfortunate incident, at least three people of the same family, lost their lives after a train locomotive rammed into their vehicle at an unmanned level-crossing at Purangudam Bikhoyachuk here on Sunday.

Following the accident, three of them, who were heading towards Silghat from Guwahati, died on the spot.

As per reports, the driver of the car, bearing registration number AS02-N-4402 was unaware of the approaching train locomotive.

The deceased were identified as Chandra Kumar Kalita (father), Nilima Devi (mother), and Sunny Kalita (son).

Upon receiving the information of the same, a team of police reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
