Assam: 6th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2023 held in Tinsukia

TINSUKIA: On the occasion of the 6th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2023, a recipe competition along with other related activities were held under the Guijan ICDS Project, Tinsukia in the conference hall of office of the BDO, Guijan Development Block on Friday. More than 150 participants were present that included pregnant women, lactating mothers, adolescent girls and children of 6 months to 6 years old.

Various recipes were demonstrated with the help of locally available vegetables, including millet and other nutritious products which are basically meant for pregnant and lactating mothers and children from 6 months to 6 years. The activities performed were recipe competition, awareness on Poshan Maah, awareness on safe drinking water, conducting Matru Amrit and kids show. Among the officials present were BDO Guijan Development Block, ICDS Supervisors, District Project Assistant and Block Coordinator of Poshan Abhiyaan, and District Coordinator IEC PHC.
