Assam Actor Kishor Das Passes Away in Chennai

GUWAHATI: In an unfortunate turn of events, Assamese actor-singer Kishor Das passed away in Chennai on July 2.

As per reports, Kishor who was suffering form Leukaemia for a long time passed away on Saturday in a Chennai Hospital.

Notably the actor was undergoing treatment in Chennai for cancer, however, died due to COVID-19 complications and piles.

He was from Mirza area of Guwahati.

It is to be mentioned here that Kishor Das has starred in more than 300 music videos, out of which one of his super hit songs "Turut Turut" became Assam's Number 1 top views video.

Kishor Das was known for his roles in TV shows like "Bidhata and Bandhun", and has also starred in multiple short films. He also won the "Candid Young Achievement Award" in 2019, and "Most Popular Actor 2020-2021" in the Asianet Icon Award.
