Dhekiajuli: Akashvani Guwahati successfully organized the cultural and awareness programme “Deshor Kotha Deshor Gaan” at the Trimurti Auditorium in Dhekiajuli on Sunday evening at around 6.30 pm. The event, aimed at promoting social awareness and patriotism through discussions and music, witnessed the presence of distinguished personalities, an engaging session on cybercrime, and a heartfelt conversation with renowned Singer Artists J. P. Das and Durgamayee Bora.
The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by eminent dignitaries, including Bogiram Boro, Bidhu Bhushan Mahanta, Phanindra Nath Kalita, and Dhruva Prasad Nath. Their participation set the stage for an evening that seamlessly blended knowledge sharing with artistic expression. A key highlight of the event was an informative session on cybercrime, delivered by speaker Pinky Das. Addressing the audience, she shed light on the growing threats of cybercrime and its various forms, including cyber terrorism, financial fraud, online extortion, computer-related offenses, and the proliferation of obscene content. Her speech emphasized the urgent need for digital vigilance and awareness in today’s technology-driven world.
Adding a musical essence to the evening, an intimate conversation with esteemed musicians J. P. Das and Durgamayee Bora captivated the audience. They shared their experiences, insights into Assamese music, and the evolving role of traditional and modern compositions in preserving cultural identity.
